It was just 2 weeks ago that I was feeling quite down. So down, in fact, that I was sleeping a lot and not eating much. I picked myself up and to the Dr. I went. Anxiety & Panic Attacks was the diagnoses. Really? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I have so much to be thankful for! How can a Christian who has HOPE have so much anxiety?
Circumstances. That's it. It happens to the best of us. You go through a trial, get hurt, and sometimes need some help getting out of the pit. Well, today, thanks to the Lord, my wonderful husband, and a few close family members and friends, I am doing wonderful!! The Lord reached down, I looked up...and GRABBED ON! He pulled me out of the pit. He is beginning a new work in me....and I am joyful!
Here are some reasons for my Joy today.... :)
1. Jesus is my ROCK & my STRENGTH! When I am weak, HE is strong!! Psalm 31:24 "Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD."
2. I have a husband that steps up to the plate when I can't. He takes care of our boys, loves on me, and encourages me. The best friend I could ever have...and I married him!
3. I have 2 absolutely beautiful boys that I never thought that I would have! The Lord has truly blessed us beyond our hopes & dreams with Dakota & Nickolas!!
4. I married into a wonderful family! I am so very thankful that I have wonderful in-laws! There are so many people that can't say that...I know how very lucky I am! :) I love them dearly & am so thankful for all that they do for Brian and I and the boys!
5. I found the Lord at a young age! I was fortunate to have parents that became Christians when I was very young, so I was in church & learning about God early on in life. Because of that, I came to accept the Lord at a young age & I believe this kept me from a world of hurt & sin that could have enveloped me without the Firm Foundation that I had.
6. I finally have a church that I can call HOME! This is such a blessing to me! We went through so much heartache after leaving the church where we met & got married. We spent many years trying and trying to find someplace that 'fit' us, where we could grow & use our gifts. We now have a home....and feel so BLESSED to be there! We love our church family and they make us feel loved and appreciated too! :)
7. Music! There have been so many times when I have been down & just started singing praises to the Lord & it turns my mood around! I love the way that works! I love to sing for the Lord and am so thankful for that gift!
8. Spring & Summer! It's funny, because as I type this, it is only 50 degrees outside and gloomy....but I know that warmth and Sunshine is just around the corner! Spring & Summer in Michigan is always beautiful!!
9. The Camper! I am fortunate enough that my in-laws have a place only about an hour and half drive from here where we can go anytime and relax! We have created so many memories up there since we got married and it is soooo fun to now experience all of it with our boys! I plan on spending lots of time up there this Summer with the boys & my mother in law & sister in law! :)
10. Good Health! To be able to say that everyone in my family is pretty healthy....well, that alone is pure JOY!
